Sipping on cotton candy tea is delicious at Tea with Tracy in Oxford.

Mommy and Me Afternoon Tea - New Haven County

1. Tea with Tracy - Oxford and Seymour

Tea with Tracy is a great option for all ages, with a menu beyond the typical egg salad sandwiches spread. The Oxford location offers breakfast (my favorite) and a kid-friendly lunch. My 3-year-old daughter talks about the birthday pancakes daily—and, yes, they are really worth it. Want a true afternoon tea? Then head to the Seymour location for tea sandwiches, scones, and more. Tea with Tracy has a massive variety of teas with specials flavors for little ones such as Cotton Candy, Bubblegum, and Fairy Tales Teas. Both locations can host private tea parties for birthdays or special occasions. See the store's website for packages per location.

2. Open Door Tea - Stratford

Known for their yummy food and huge selection of tea, Open Door Tea makes you and your children feel warm and welcome in their cozy cafe. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. High tea experience is offered by reservation only with one week's notice for parties of 3 - 18 people. This includes tiered finger foods and tea selected by a tea curator, all for $35 per person. More than 20 people invited to the party? Host a party in Open Door Tea's private rooms. Additionally, Open Door Tea offers virtual tea tastings! Check out their website for more information and packages.
