This annual event began in Boston in 1910 and is based on a tradition that goes back to the 16th century in Sciacca, Sicily.

The 114th Fisherman's Feast begins with a blessing of the ocean at Columbus Park on Thursday. The festival continues with performances and special events throughout the weekend. A procession takes place on Sunday afternoon, followed by the "Flight of the Angel."
